I thought it best to start simple. I sat down in my studio with the intention of recording some songs direct to tape, without overdubs or fuss. What emerged that afternoon was a collection five songs, some old, some new, and some in between; The Best Years, The Brighter Side Of You, The Queen Of Alone, The Chain Parade, and The Way It Spins. Funny how things come out sometimes. No, they are not all inspired by a British musical and multimedia group that emerged in the late 1970s. I’ll leave it to you to find the thread.
I have posted to the “music” page two of the five demos that were the result of that afternoon. Sure, each likely has more grandiose visions of what they could be, but for the moment they remain as I intended them: simple.
